Dear Cheval Residents,
We are excited to share that during the week of October 28, TECO, will begin the process replacing our 336 concrete light poles with ornamental LED light poles. These LED poles are not only more aesthetically pleasing but also energy efficient. The installation is expected to save Cheval West approximately $100 - $125,000 annually.
Key Project Details:
• Estimated Duration: Given the number of streetlights we have in Cheval West, the project is estimated to take 2-3 months to complete.
• Staging: The light poles and other necessary equipment will be delivered on Friday, October 25 and will be staged along Avenue Avignon, in Conex boxes (shipping containers), in preparation for the work.
• Installation Plan: The work will be completed in phases (see attached image). Nimes Court will be the first street to undergo the replacement, followed by St. Laurent Dr, other streets and villages will follow ending with TPC Boulevard and those street closer to the Lutz Lake Fern gate. The installation team expects to replace about 6-10 poles per day. While most work will occur during the day, some work will occur at night for the safety of the installers and street traffic. • Traffic Impact: Two large trucks with trailers will be used during the replacement process, partially blocking sections of the road near work areas. Please exercise patience and caution when driving in these areas to ensure everyone’s safety.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this important project. If you have any questions, concerns, or need additional information, feel free to reply to this notice and a board member will respond.
Thank you for your patience as we work to make these improvements that will benefit our community for years to come!
Sincerely, Adam Nebrich Chairman Cheval West Community Association
